Honeycomb Array
2015. Interactive sculpture
Built an interactive sculpture using organic and industrial materials.
Honeycomb Array is an interactive sculpture built from PCBs and CNC-milled hard maple. Ten LEDs, one for each hexagonal cell, flash in decorative patterns, execute cellular automata, and display the current time. An ambient light sensor automatically adjusts the brightness. Concealed tactile switches and proximity sensors allow for configuration and interaction.
