Project Oceanheart is an action-adventure game that follows the path of a baby clam trying to find its family. On its way it must stand guard against a bevy of sharks, jellyfish, and giant squid who are hungry for a cup of clam chowder. Our story blends with 2D sprites and multicolored ocean environments to create a sense of wonder and adventure, while also feeding into the feeling of the mystery of the ocean.
Project Oceanheart uses a novel lighting model for emulating 3D shading using 2D sprites, and a physically-modelled clam shell simulation.
