2001: A Space Odyssey

Typeset and illustrated screenplay.

As a gift for a friend, I typeset the original screenplay for Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey. When designing the interior, I referenced many of the original typefaces and motifs from the film while adding my own typographic elements. The design attempts to create a sense of sterile foreboding that echos the events in the plot. Many of the design elements animate from page to page, creating a slow-moving animation as the script progresses.
